My Story

The idea for The Silver Garden came about in later 2014.  I had always had it at the back of my mind that I should  get back into jewellery making since the mid 1990's after I had trained in London's Hatton Garden in Jewellery Making & Design.  Life & family, as it often does,  took over & it got put to the wayside.

As my children got older, I began looking for something I could do at home when I stumbled across coin rings & upcylced jewellery on the internet.  It was perfect!  Having done silversmithing earlier in life, this was something which really appealed to me.  Making things for people to wear & pass down through their family.  Things which already had a history but had sadly been discarded or were no longer of personal value to people.  Making them into future heirlooms for new people to love & cherish.  The process of changing something unwanted into something beautiful for people to cherish & pass down.  One off pieces which no one else will have.  I put a lot of hard work into choosing the right pieces to work with & finding out as much as I can about the history of the piece so I can pass this infrmation on to the new owners.  That is just as important as the work put in to making the piece.

So welcome to my journey.  With The Silver Garden opening for business in July 2015, I love my work & hope you all do too.  Please have a look through my website & my social media pages.  If you wish to purchase a piece, you can do so through my Etsy page.  If you wish to order a custom piece, message me through either Etsy or Facebook or you can email or phone me.  My social media links are on the left hand side of the page along with my contact details.

Thank you for taking the time to read my story & I look forward to you joining me on my journey.
